Purim is Coming!
Do a Mitzvah & Participate in our Purim Fundraiser
100% of the Proceeds will be donated to
Feeding Westchester & Los Angeles Regional Food Bank
Mishloach Manot - sending food gifts to friends and family - is one of the four Mitzvot performed on Purim. The mitzvah of giving Mishloach Manot, or Purim baskets dates to the story of Purim. The Book of Esther (9:22) instructs us in the "sending of portions of food to one another" on Purim.
Instead of sending “portions of food to one another”, we will send 'virtual' Purim greetings: Anyone within the Synagogue, CJL & ECC community including clergy, teachers & staff (and if we have left someone off the list in error, please let us know.)
The proceeds from this fundraiser will be donated to Feeding Westchester and The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank*.
Along with the mitzvah of sending Mishloach Manot, your donation is also tax deductible.
Here's how it works:
-
$10 per synagogue member unit, ECC or CJL family, clergy, teacher, madrichim (student assistants) or staff member.
-
You also can reciprocate. If you select this option at the top of the page, anyone selecting your name that you did not check on your list will be added to your order at an additional charge of $10.00 each. The maximum that you will be charged will be $180.
-
Send to as many people for a maximum charge of $180, including any virtual greetings sent by reciprocity as described above.
The ordering process is simple to use.
You will need to log in to your ShulCloud account.
You may use your payment method on file or add a new one.
Your name will then appear on the message that the recipient receives at the end of the campaign.
Additional Donations: You can also elect to make an additional donation. These will not be subject to the $180 maximum charge and might cause your total to exceed that maximum.
ALL ORDERS MUST BE PLACED BY
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 12
Should you have any questions, please call the office at 914-967-6262 or email Melanie Appelbaum, Marketing & Communications Director.
Sending Mishloach Manot is a heartfelt way to emphasize the Jewish unity that lies at the core of the Purim holiday and to create meaningful connections within our own community. Thank you for your support and we look forward to your participation.
Wishing you a happy Purim!
