Shalom! Welcome to the Cantor’s Corner. Music is such an integral part of worship and Jewish life here at Community Synagogue, and my dream is to enable everyone to appreciate and participate in its rich diversity. There are programs and opportunities for everyone.
Play an instrument? Maybe you would be interested in joining our T’filah Band, our in-house group of musicians that plays at our family service (Shabbat Mishpacha) every 2nd Friday of the month at 7:45pm.
Enjoy choral singing? Maybe our Adult Choir-which sings at our musical service (Shabbat Shira) most 4th Fridays at 7:45pm-is for you.
If you have a child in 3rd-7th grade maybe he/she would like to join our Junior Choir, which sings with our T’filah Band at our family service.
These are just a few of the ways in which you can become involved in the music of Community Synagogue. If you prefer listening and appreciating music, I hope that you will find our services to be uplifting and spiritual. Jewish music inside and outside the synagogue has as rich a history as the texts we chant and sing. At Community Synagogue we strive to create worship experiences that are as diverse as our congregants.
Looking forward to seeing you! Cantor Dan Mutlu dmutlu@comsynrye.org

Our Social Action Committee put together a wonderful brochure detailing many of the programs going on in and around our community. There are many in need and many projects in which we can lend a hand. Please pick up a brochure in the office or email one of our committee chairs (Robin- rblum@squad.com or Barbara- bsk0909@aol.com) to get involved.
