In addition to Rabbi Gropper's teaching Anshe Binah (Adult B’nai Mitzvah), early morning Torah study, a weekly text class, and leading our bi-monthly Shabbat Torah discussion study, our Continuing Education program includes lectures, discussions, classes on all aspects of Jewish education, and special programs with other synagogues. Annually the synagogue sponsors a Scholar-in-Residence weekend that is enjoyed by the entire membership.
The direction of Jewish Adult Education is changing at Community Synagogue. Jewish education is about comprehending our history, but it is also about enriching our soul and challenging our mind through Judaism. How can we enhance our lives and make our relationships stronger? How do we find meaning in the events of the day and the world? How do we become active learners and meaningful participants in our lives? This takes Lifelong Learning. And this is the promise of our current course offerings for adults. No matter what your level of understanding, you’re sure to appreciate this year’s stimulating arena of thought, analysis, inspiration, and dynamic group dialogue.
Check out our Lifelong Learning programming. See what suits you. Attend any class, even if it is part of a series. You are bound to take away more than you came in with, no matter your background.
