Community Synagogue's Junior Youth Group is for Fifth and Sixth Graders and their friends. Children participate in a variety of social and social action activities. Dues for the 2009-2010 school year are $25. Paying dues gives members of the JYG a reduced cost at events. Most events take place on Saturday evenings or Sunday afternoons.
Seventh and Eighth Graders have the opportunity to participate in "Mitzvah Projects" that count toward the credits they need in order to have their Bar/ Bat Mitzvah. These projects usually take place around Holiday times and are prior to the start of Religious School on Wednesday afternoons.
