High Holiday Giving:  Keren B'Kavod

Each year Israel Action joins Social Action in a high holiday drive.  We encourage everyone to go through our cupboards and donate cans and boxes of food to serve our local community.  We ALSO ask you look for the envelope affixed to the high holiday bag and dig into your pockets and give to those of similar needs in Israel.  You can drop off the envelope with your filled bag.

Keren B'Kavod is a project of IRAC (Israel Religious Action Center) and has been the benificiary of our high holiday drive for a few years now.  Keren B'Kavod provides food and supplies to some of the neediest families in Israel. During the Congregational trip in February, many of our congregants help packed boxes and saw first hand their good work.

Only 50% of donations are received from Israeli donors.  Our help is desperately needed.

Keren B'Kavod

Over the past two years Community Synagogue raised more than $21,000 for Keren B'Kavod, a project of our Reform Movement's Israel Religious Action Center. Take a moment to read about the good works they are doing and positive changes they are bringing to Israel: www.irac.org/SocialAction.aspx

To support Keren B'Kavod, send a check to Community Synagogue and please write Keren B'Kavod in the memo line.
